Looking for things to do in Singapore this week? From the return of the Singapore River Festival to large-scale art installations, creative markets and Mid-Autumn celebrations, here are six events happening from 14 to 20 September 2026.
1. Mid-Autumn Festival 2026 at Gardens by the Bay
Gardens by the Bay lights up for Mid-Autumn Festival with a series of colourful lantern installations featuring Fenbao, an original Singapore character created by artist and advertising veteran Lim Sau Hoong.
Running from 12 to 27 September, the free festival spans Golden Garden, Supertree Grove and Bayfront Plaza, with installations including Moonlit Garden, The Voyage, The Path of Wonder and Colourful Blossoms. Visitors can also find a marketplace with street food, carnival games and family-friendly rides, while a Craft Corner takes place on selected dates including 19 and 20 September.

2. Singapore River Festival 2026
The Singapore River Festival returns for its 10th edition with The Quay Collective, bringing art, music, performances and interactive experiences across Boat Quay, Clarke Quay and Robertson Quay.
Each quay takes on a different theme. Boat Quay becomes an Entertainment Zone with roving performances and projections, Clarke Quay hosts interactive light experiences and acrobatic acts, while Robertson Quay focuses on lifestyle and wellness with immersive installations and riverside activities.

3. Bloomyard by Graphic Rewilding
Step inside a larger-than-life botanical playground at Bloomyard, an installation by artist duo Graphic Rewilding at Gardens by the Bay.
The interactive exhibition transforms the duo’s colourful botanical illustrations into a physical space where visitors can walk through a floral arch, swing among oversized flowers, play on flower-shaped table tennis tables and try a garden-themed mini-golf course.

4. Common Rare Singapore
If you’re looking to shop beyond the usual weekend markets, Common Rare Singapore takes over Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre for three days.
The festival brings together independent brands from Singapore and around the region, including more than 100 overseas brands making their Singapore debut. Expect fashion, accessories, art and lifestyle finds alongside workshops, live experiences, food and collaborations. Thai illustrator Sundae Kids will also host a pop-up with exclusive merchandise and live portrait drawing sessions.

5. Arto Marto: From The Garden
For more art and design finds, Arto Marto: From The Garden is a two-day art market happening at Pico Creative Centre.
The market spotlights emerging and lesser-known artists, with a mix of illustrated prints, accessories, stickers and other creative goods. This edition takes on a garden-inspired theme and is free to enter.

6. Not Another Pet Fair
Pet owners can head to Not Another Pet Fair, a two-day pet event taking over Suntec Convention Hall 404.
Beyond shopping for pet treats, accessories and essentials, the programme includes pet blessings, an adoption zone and yoga and Pilates sessions where pets are welcome to join. Entry to the main fair is free with RSVP, while selected activities are separately ticketed.
